After a year of postponements due to Yana's illness (pneumonia, etc.) and setbacks, Yana, who suffered from Cystic Hygroma, was finally operated on in Davao to remove the growth. Through miscommunication it was thought that the growth was cancerous but that was cleared up and the original diagnosis of Cystic Hygroma was found to be correct.
I can not say enough for Operation Smile who was tenatious in their pursuit of getting this done. It is not in the genre of procedures that they oversee but they held the course and got this done.
God bless my friend Dr. Socha who provided research, contacts, and even some financial help for incidentals that were not covered.
As of this writing Yana is still in the hospital in recovery.
